Aimee's Story
From Humble Beginnings...
Aimee founded Butterfingers on the Isle of Man in 2012 as a hobby baking cupcakes. Her creativity, attention to detail and superior service soon meant she gained island wide recognition and was in high demand.
She strives for perfection and has built an exquisite reputation for her flawless finish and incredible sense of style.
Awards and Publications
Always looking for something to stretch her ability she began entering competitions in 2018. So far she has gained Gold, Silver and Merits at Cake International, Gold and Best in Class at Salon Culinaire International and Silver and Best in Class at Northern Ireland Sugar Expo.
She has won Cake Maker of the Year at the Prestige Business Awards, winner of the Isle of Man Awards for Excellence Celebrating Our Local Food Producers Award, finalist of the Isle of Man Awards for Excellence Innovation and Independent Thinking Award, finalist for Wedding Cake Maker North West at The Wedding Industry Awards, highly commended for Best Business and Wedding Cake Design at the Cake Professionals Awards and winner of Wedding Cake Maker at My Manx Wedding Awards.
She is a regular contributor for Cake Masters, American Cake Decorating and Cake Decoration & Sugarcraft magazines, with her own column in the latter.
Her work has also been featured in Hello! magazine, on Rock My Wedding, Gallery magazine, British Sugarcraft Guild magazine and regularly featured by Isle of Man Newspapers as a contributor and featured artist.

After nearly 10 successful years is is time for something new - stepping out from the shadow of Butterfingers and standing proud as Aimee Ford.
Aimee is available for orders across the Isle of Man, England, Scotland, Wales and around the world!
In 2022 Aimee also stepped up and became a judge at Cake International, the world's leading cake competition and is looking forward to continuing her judging journey there and at other cake competitions across the globe.
She also has a passion for teaching and is available world wide for teaching opportunities.
